Alatonero is a celebrated Greek restaurant located on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, offering an authentic and unforgettable dining experience.

With a menu inspired by traditional Greek flavours and locally sourced ingredients, Alatonero brings the warmth and hospitality of Greece to the heart of the Peninsula.

The restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere for both casual dining and special occasions, combining exquisite Mediterranean cuisine with a modern, relaxed setting. Alatonero is renowned for its exceptional seafood, traditional dishes, and mouth-watering desserts, making it a popular choice for locals and tourists alike.

The Client’s Problem

Alatonero required a website that would better reflect the essence of their brand while boosting online reservations, increasing awareness of their offerings, and streamlining key business functions.

Their previous website lacked the visual appeal and functionality to effectively showcase their beautiful venue and menu, as well as make it easy for customers to book a table, place takeaway orders, or purchase gift cards.

With a growing number of customers seeking an online presence that was both engaging and easy to navigate, Alatonero needed a modern, user-friendly platform to improve their online visibility. Additionally, they required a seamless system for capturing customer information to enhance email marketing efforts, generate leads for weddings and events, and encourage repeat business.

The Propeld Solution

Propeld worked closely with Alatonero to create a visually striking website that captured the essence of Greek hospitality and cuisine while boosting conversions.

The new design features vibrant graphics that highlight the restaurant’s atmosphere, mouth-watering dishes, and the stunning coastal location of the Peninsula. The website was built on WordPress, ensuring flexibility and easy content management.

To enhance the customer experience, we integrated a seamless online reservation system via Now Book It, allowing guests to easily book a table at their convenience. The streamlined layout makes it simple for visitors to explore the menu, learn about the restaurant’s story, and stay up to date with events and special offers.

We also optimised the site for mobile use, ensuring that customers could effortlessly place online takeaway orders, purchase gift cards, or make reservations on the go. To support Alatonero’s marketing efforts, we incorporated a Mailchimp integration for email marketing, enabling them to capture customer information and engage with their audience more effectively.

Additionally, SquareUp was implemented for secure online transactions, facilitating gift card sales and takeaway payments. The website also features an Instagram feed integration to showcase the latest updates and connect with customers through social media.
